About LCVYS
Lincolnshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services is a membership infrastructure organisation, which means we provide support services to groups that join LCVYS.
Who can join LCVYS? Any group providing services to children and young people from the voluntary sector in Lincolnshire.
It was established to co-ordinate, help, support and act as the voice of the Voluntary Sector youth services in Lincolnshire. This is on behalf of voluntary and community youth organisations, including main uniformed organisations as well as individual, independent youth groups and those providing a service or facility for young people.
LCVYS is managed by an Executive and Trustee Committee who are elected annually from and by the membership, and /or co-opted by the Trustees.
The Council is the term used for the members that have joined LCVYS. The Development Officer is there to provide them with support and they give Development Officer direction on what services they would like to receive and how they would like them delivered.
Where it is able within its work the Council aims to combat discrimination on the grounds of sex, gender, age, marital status, responsibility for dependants, race and ethnic origin, beliefs, sexual orientation and disabilities.
Mission Statement
The Council is established to help and advance the personal and social development of young people through the work of its constituent members so as to promote their potential development physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities and seeks active partnerships with other parties to enable this. |
